Machine base
The frame is usually cast iron, the large asynchronous motor frame is generally welded with steel plates, and the miniature motor frame is made of cast aluminum. There is a heat dissipation rib on the outside of the frame of the enclosed motor to increase the heat dissipation area. Vent holes are provided at the end covers of the frame of the protective motor to allow the air inside and outside the motor to directly convect to facilitate heat dissipation.
The main frame of the generator is used as the supporting structure of the stator core lamination, which bears the torque of the stator and transmits it to the feet; it forms the channel of cooling gas and forms the supporting structure of the bearings, the frame and the cooler.
Stator core
The stator core is the main magnetic circuit of the stator, and it is also the mounting and fixing component of the stator windings. The stator core is composed of fan-shaped punching pieces, ventilation slot pieces, tooth pressure plates, tension bolts, brackets, positioning ribs and other components.
Coil
Most of the stator windings of large hydro-generators use double-layer wave windings of strip coils (also known as wire rods). The characteristics of strip wave windings are that they have fewer end connections and are easy to replace. For water-cooled generators, single-layer wave windings can also be selected, which can simplify the cooling water pipeline.
